Little Paperback inscribed by Bertie (Albertus) DePree, Zeeland, Michigan, 1885

Little paperback (see below for title page) with inscription from owner Bertie DePree, Zeeland, Michigan, 1885.  Bertie also drew two birds and a dog.

Searching online, I found Albertus J. DePree born Feb 1879 in Michigan, the son of Johannes Pieter DePree and his wife Berendtje.  Johannes was born in the Netherlands in 1843.  I wish I had more information to impart on Berendtje.

Albertus and wife Anna had a son Donald born abt 1917.
